Supporting Member of the Canadian Federation of Artists, Ashley Slade, will be leading an exciting adventure in alcohol ink on high quality, gallery style canvas prepared with latex primer for stunning ink abstracts.
This is a great class for individuals who have attended ink classes in the past, built up some skill, and are ready to try more complex techniques on a large surface.
After taking this 3 hour workshop, you will have:
*an understanding of how to prepare a canvas so that ink will flow over top rather than bleed through the surface.
* knowledge of how to layer ink.
* ink fading and blowing skills.
* brass pigment manipulation abilities.
* a beautiful abstract ink creation on a high quality 24x30" gallery canvas.
* & knowledge of how to properly seal your work.
During the workshop, participants will be given plenty of photo paper to practice techniques on before we work on canvas.
Because this is a skills based class, the products will be 100% unique to the attendee; however, we will have examples for galaxy, floral, and nautical inspired pieces as well as completely abstract designs.
This is a no-stress zone!
Bring a sense of adventure and willingness to experiment while having FUN! Please wear clothes that may get stained or wrecked - paint stains!
"Ashley is a great teacher! Gives advice but also lets you do whatever works for you! Love my alcohol ink projects we did!" - Samantha S.
